President Perkins Forms President's Advisory Board

President Perkins has formed a group of talented entrepreneurs who have extensive expertise in their chosen fields. The focus of this group is to provide counsel to the President on a variety of topics that could potentially benefit the College.

David Arnold ’77 is the founder of Softdesk, Inc., one of New Hampshire’s largest publicly-traded software companies. He is the founder of the Henniker River Group and Retrieve, Inc. in Henniker.

Ira Joe Fisher received his MFA in Poetry from NEC. After an extensive career in television, Ira Joe teaches poetry at Pace University and the University of Connecticut. He is the author of two works of poetry.

David Lockwood is a financial advisor from Manchester, New Hampshire. He is a former trustee and board chair. Throughout his tenure at the College, David was actively involved in creating a culture of philanthropy.

Garrett A. Pierce ’93 is a member of Boston’s financial community. He has been active in alumni affairs at the College and served as the president of the alumni board.

Marc C. Richardson was named Area 6 Director in the Central Region of the Boy Scouts of America. In his role he provides leadership to 12 Boy Scout Councils in Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois. He oversees 131,000 youth and 36,000 volunteers and manages an annual budget in excess of $29,000,000.

Anthony “Andy” Sanborn ’84 was born and raised in Lebanon, NH, is a fourth-generation New Hampshire native, and a graduate of New England College (1984). He and his wife, Laurie, are involved in the automotive industry, real estate development, and financial consulting. In 2008 Andy was elected to the New Hampshire State Senate. Additionally, he is on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association and is active with several charitable organizations. He is also the owner of The Draft, a Concord, NH restaurant.

Harriet Sanford ’74 is President and CEO of the NEA Foundation. Her senior executive career spans more than 25 years with 19 years as the president and chief executive officer of non-profit organizations including the Arts and Science Council in Charlotte, North Carolina and the Fulton County Arts Council in Georgia.

Philip “Nip” Smith ’78 is the president and owner of Phillary Management, Inc, a real estate management company in Gladstone, New Jersey.

David Tille ’89 is Senior Project Director to Congressman Frank C. Guinta of New Hampshire. He has served previously on the staffs of Congressman Jeb Bradley and U.S. Senator Bob Smith. Dave was the Political Director for former New York Mayor Rudy Giulliani’s New Hampshire Presidential campaign.
