September 28th International Investment Expert to Speak at New England College
On Monday, September 28 at 6:30 p.m., international investment expert, Dr. Hans Black, will speak at New England College in the Simon Center at 98 Bridge Street in Henniker. Dr. Black’s presentation, “The Global Credit Crisis of 2008: What We Have Learned in the Last Year,” is free and open to the public.
Dr. Hans Black is the founder and chairman of the global investment firm of Interinvest in Montreal, Canada. With offices and affiliates in Boston, Bermuda, London, and Zurich, Interinvest provides financial management services for both private and corporate clients.
His global perspective has been widely quoted in publications such as Barron’s, The International Herald Tribune, The Financial Times, Euromoney and The Wall Street Transcript. He has appeared on the PBS program The Nightly Business Report and travels extensively for research and speaking engagements.
Dr. Black received his Doctorate in Medicine from McGill University in Montreal after studying law in France. A Phi Beta Kappa scholar, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Union College in New York.
In addition to serving as a guest lecturer at both Harvard and McGill University, Dr. Black has held positions on a number boards representing civic, medical, and technology organizations including: Wi2Wi Inc.; Amorfix Life Sciences; RPMH Global Macro Fund Ltd.; Fondation Institut de Cardiologie de Montreal; Montreal Symphony Orchestra; Fondation Jeunesses Musicales du Canada; National Arts Centre, Ottawa; Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University; Washington National Opera; Les Aliments Soyummi Inc.; and the McGill Chamber Orchestra.
