NEC to Participate in International Day of Storytelling
On Monday, November 17th, New England College will join an international network of multi-cultural storytellers celebrating their art through events around the world. Originating in Connecticut in 1988, Tellabration is now a global series of events for both amateur and professional storytellers that will be held in numerous venues in the United States and internationally. Events are typically held immediately before Thanksgiving and are designed to keep the ages-old art of storytelling alive and to welcome new storytellers into a global network.
Now in its fourth year hosting a Tellabration event, New England College will welcome student, faculty, youth, family, and professional storytellers to the program on November 17 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. The event will be held in the New England Room of the H. Raymond Danforth Library on Bridge Street in Henniker and is free and open to the public. All are welcome and all stories are appropriate for children, adults, and families. Refreshments will be served.
