Environmental Action Committee (EAC)
The Environmental Action Committee (EAC) focuses on awareness of environmental issues, sustainability projects such as recycling, and community service projects both on and off campus. The EAC developed and maintains the college’s recycling program, which has been successful because of the personal commitment made by EAC and all NEC students, staff, and faculty. Community service projects have addressed issues of litter cleanup and prevention, tire removal from the Contoocook River (which flows through the campus), alternative spring breaks in New Orleans, as well as helping the campus recognize and celebrate Earth Day.
