The broadest of the social sciences, the study of sociology encompasses every facet of human social experience. At New England College, our curriculum focuses on themes of social change and social justice.

Faculty are deeply committed to participatory learning in applied settings. Students engage in field trips, travel, community service, and action projects. A wide range of internships are available in nonprofit community organizations.

This program is designed to inform students on a broad range of social issues and to provide them with the analytical and practical skills needed to seek careers in the fields of human services and social change, or to pursue programs in graduate study.
