The basic career service we provide at CLP is the individual career advising appointment. In a relaxed, informal atmosphere, we provide informed guidance on a number of subjects, including:
- Choice of major
- Career "focusing" and general planning for life, including travel
- Interest testing
- Internships
- Summer jobs
- Resume writing
- The job search, in New Hampshire or anywhere else in the world
- Effective interviewing
- Graduate school search and application
In other words, if a student has a real career focus and a resume, great! If they don't, that's fine; we help. Career services available through CLP often include:
- Workshops and class presentations on career development topics and strategies
- The Pathways Career Library
- The NHCUC Job Fair
- On-campus opportunity fairs, and panel discussions with employers
- The NEC Career Advisory Alumni Network (CAN)
- Pathways career development courses
- Internet resources and weblinks to career resources
Our office hours are: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and some
evenings. Special arrangements can easily be made for students with
difficult schedules. We make every
