From their very first year, New England College students enrolled in the Bachelor in Elementary Education program can be found in the classroom inspiring children to read, developing an after school program, directing a student performance, or leading other students to improve their own schools. By gaining knowledge and becoming an active member of the community, our students experience a genuine sense of achievement and know that their contributions are authentic and valued.
The Elementary Education degree program at New England College prepares students to understand the intellectual, emotional, and psychological development of children. Students will learn a range of methods, materials, and assessment strategies designed to be used in a variety of curriculum areas in the elementary classroom. Through practical experience, students will become proficient in the use of classroom space and resources and will learn strategies for directing the experience of their students.
