Perhaps you were blessed to grow up with wonderful parents or perhaps not so lucky. Either way, Jean Cocteau's Les Parents Terribles is bound to make you take a second look at your own situation in a better light. Michael reveals to his parents that he is in love and they are horrified.
His overly-possessive mother cannot believe that her son could love anyone other than her, whilst his father is not too pleased to learn that his son's sweetheart is his own mistress! In Jeremy Sams's sparky new translation even when the emotion rises to the most torrid climaxes, you often catch yourself laughing!
