NEC Women's Basketball Hits Season High Score against Eastern Nazarene College
The New England College Pilgrims would score a season-high 86 points beating the visiting Eastern Nazarene College Crusaders 86-56 Tuesday night. The win snaps a three game losing streak for the Pilgrims improving them to 7-15 overall and 2-7 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC.) The loss drops the Crusaders to 5-17 overall and 1-9 in the TCCC.
Pilgrims Travel to Myrtle Beach for Spring Training
New England College women’s lacrosse will travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for spring training throughout the week of March 9-15 before opening their season on the road. The Pilgrims will travel from Myrtle Beach to Frostburg, Md. where they will open their season against Frostburg State College on Saturday, Mar 15. NEC will then make their way over to Hackettstown, N.J. where they will face off with Centenary College on Sunday, Mar 16 before returning home.
Men's Lacrosse Traveling South for Spring Break
New England College men’s lacrosse will travel to Orlando, Fl. to open their 2008 season. The Pilgrims will play Sewanee University of the South on Wednesday, Mar. 12 in Clearwater, Fl and then take on Swarthmore College on Saturday, Mar 15 in Orlando, Fl.
Pilgrims Looking to Build Off 2007
New England College baseball finished 2007 with an overall record of 8-24 and a Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) record of 5-15, just shy of the playoffs. NEC’s season was highlighted by a 4-3 win over defending regular season TCCC Champions Salve Regina back in March.

New England College women’s ice hockey would hold Plymouth State College scoreless beating the Panthers 10-0 Saturday afternoon. The win is the second straight for the Pilgrims who improve to 12-7-1 overall and 9-5-1 in the ECAC East. The loss drops the Panthers to 0-16-1 overall and 0-14-1 in ECAC East action.

Rines Picks Up TCCC Honors
New England College women’s cross country finished seventh at The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship (TCCC) Meet Saturday in Biddeford. The Pilgrims were led by first-year runner Lindsay Rines (Lee, N.H.) who finished sixth out of 92 runners. Rines ran the 5K race in time of 25:27, good enough to earn All-TCCC honors and the opportunity to run in the NCAA Regional.
NEC Field Hockey Captures TCCC Championship
The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Player of the Year Amanda Lester (Columbia, Conn.) netted three goals lifting the New England College Pilgrims over the visiting Nichols College Bison 4-2 in TCCC Championship action on Saturday in Henniker. In addition to the Pilgrims capturing their sixth straight TCCC Championship, head coach Susan Murray picked up her 200th career win as a head coach.
