Caprotti runs collegiate best

Leading the way for the men was Jesse Caprotti (W. Shokan, N.Y.) who finished the 8K race in a time of 28:09 good enough for 151^st  place.  The 28:09 time was a personal best for Caprotti and will rank him third all-time in the NEC cross-country record book for fastest 8K time. NEC’s Mike Harrison (Newbury, N.H.) ran a personal best as well finishing the race 159^th in a time of 28:24 and Mike Coulombe (Strafford, N.H.) finished 176^th  with a time of 29:18.  Rounding out the men were Andrew Nelson (Nottingham, N.H.) who finished 191^st and Andrew Teixeira (Grafton, Mass.) who finished 243^rd  overall.

The top NEC runner on the women’s side was Brooke Fallon (Dennis, Mass.) who finished the 5K race in collegiate-best 21:16 good enough for 148^th place.  NEC’s Elizabeth Bohn (Dover, N.H.) finished 247^th , Amber Ruscoe (Newtown, Conn.) finished 256^th, while Bethany Forshaw (Waterford, Conn.) finished 263^rd  and Hollie Wilson (Burlington, Vt.) finished 269^th overall.

The Pilgrims return to action on Saturday, Sept. 27 when they travel to Williams College for a12:00 p.m. race.
