Johnson named TCCC Defensive Player of the Week
New England College field hockey defender Jamie Johnson (Lynnfield, Mass.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her performance throughout the week of October 26-October 31.
Johnson anchored a Pilgrim defense that helped the Pilgrims to a 2-1 week, including a TCCC Quarterfinal win over Salve Regina. Johnson helped the Pilgrims to 4-3 come-from-behind win over Southern Maine on Thursday and then held Salve Regina to just three shots as the Pilgrims shutout Salve Regina 2-0 on Saturday.
