Kalliosaari named ECAC East Rookie of the Year, Two Other Pilgrims Honored
First-year forward Olli Kalliosarri was named the ECAC East Rookie of the Year, as well as earning a spot on the ECAC East Honorable Mention Team and the ECAC East All-Rookie Team for his performance this season.
Kalliosarri finished the season second on the team in scoring with a total of 25 points, including a team-high 12 goals as well as 13 assists. Kalliosarri finished the season leading the conference in freshman scoring and was tied for third in the conference in power-play goals, finishing with six on the season.
Junior defenseman Trevor Turner was named to the ECAC East Second Team. Turner played in all 27 games for the Pilgrims and led all NEC defensmen in scoring finishing with four goals and 14 assists. Turner finished the season tied for sixth in scoring among ECAC East defenders averaging .67 points per game.
Joining Kalliosarri on the ECAC East All-Rookie Team was defender Jarkko Leppanen. Leppanen played in 26 games for the Pilgrims this season finishing with four goals and seven assists.
