New England College midfielder Peter Koskores (N. Andover, Mass.) netted a goal in the 50th minute leading the Pilgrims past the Endicott College Gulls 1-0 Tuesday afternoon. With the win the Pilgrims improve to 8-7-1 on the season and even their TCCC record at 5-5-1. The loss drops the Gulls to 7-8-0 overall and 6-5-0 in TCCC play.

The two teams would battle through a scoreless opening half of play as the Gulls would hold the slight 3-2 advantage in shots on net.

NEC would break the scoring drought just 5:49 into the second half as Mark Mangini (Derry, N.H.) would bounce a pass through the center which would find the foot of Koskores.  Koskores would fire a shot past the Gull defense recording his fifth goal of the season.

Endicott would have several scoring opportunities late including a shot from Brian Connery (Boxford, Mass.) in the 80th minute that would ricochet off the crossbar.

The Gulls would finish the game out shooting the Pilgrims 9-5 and hold the 4-1 advantage in corner opportunities.

Picking up the win in net for NEC was Pat Harkin (Scituate, R.I.) who finished with six saves.  In net for Endicott was Daniel Higgins (Kingstown, R.I.) who record two saves on the afternoon.

The Pilgrims return to action on Saturday, Oct. 24 when they travel to take on conference opponent Gordon College at 2:30 p.m.  The Gulls will host conference opponent Colby-Sawyer at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24.
