Sophomore goalkeeper Pat Harkin (Scituate, R.I.) recorded six saves as the New England College Pilgrims battled the Jumbos of Tufts University to a 0-0 double overtime tie. With the tie the Pilgrims remain above .500 with a record of 3-2-1 while the Jumbos now hold a record of 2-1-1.


 

The Pilgrims were led offensively by junior Peter Koskores (N. Andover, Mass.) who registered two shots on goal.  Sophomore Nick Mannochio (Chepachet, R.I.) would make a strong attempt on goal with a header that hit the crossbar in the 23rd minute of the first half.  Tufts was led offensively Naji Muakkassa (Jamesville, N.Y.) who recorded three shots during the game.

 

Jumbos goalkeeper David McKeon (Loudonville, N.Y.) recorded four saves. 

 

The Pilgrims return to action on Saturday, September 20 at 12:00 p.m. as they face Gordon College in a TCCC match-up.  Tufts also returns to action on Saturday as they face Connecticut College for a 1:30 p.m. NESCAC game.
