NEC Athletes Inducted into National Honor Society
New England College Athletics is proud to name the following student-athletes to the Chi Alpha Sigma Nation Honor Society. Chi Alpha Sigma is the first national scholar-athlete society to honor those collegiate student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and in athletic competition. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college student-athletes who receive a letter in their varsity sport while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA throughout their junior and senior years.
New England College will induct their sixth class in the national honor society at a luncheon held on Sunday, April 5 on the campus of New England College. There will be 20 student-athletes representing nine different sports. The following athletes with honored: Audra Cyr (Sr., Soccer), Jodie Dresser (Sr., Field Hockey/Lacrosse), Ashley Hutton (Sr., Basketball/Lacrosse), Casey McFarland (Sr., Basketball/Lacrosse), Stevie Hayes (Jr., Soccer), Holly Soule (Sr., Field Hockey), Kerry Hughes (Jr., Soccer), Jamie Davies (Jr., Basketball), Lauren Bickford (Jr., Lacrosse), Per Thunberg (Jr., Ice Hockey), Khatianna Evans (Jr., Field Hockey), Michael Harrison (Jr., Cross Country), Alexandra DiRico (Jr., Ice Hockey/Lacrosse), Viktor Bertfelt (Jr., Ice Hockey), Trevor Turner (Jr., Ice Hockey), Jimmy Hoyt (Jr., Baseball), Jonathan Globke (Jr., Ice Hockey), Mark Ehl (Jr., Ice Hockey), Stephanie Lewis (Jr., Ice Hockey) and Jocelyn St. Marie (Sr., Soccer.)
