Spera named ECAC East Rookie of the Week
New England College women’s ice hockey forward Stephanie Spera (Stoughton, Mass.) has been named ECAC East Rookie of the Week for her performance in Saturday’s win over St. Michael’s College.
Spera netted two goals in NEC’s overtime win over St. Michael’s on Saturday night. She tie the game 2-2 in the second period scoring on a Pilgrim power-play and then came through with the game-winner scoring 2:17 into overtime. Spera leads the team with three goals in just two games this season and has both Pilgrim game-winners.
