Two N.H. field hockey players honored
New England College field hockey forward Jodie Dresser (Keene, N.H.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Offensive Player of the Week for her performance throughout the week of Oct. 6-12.
Dresser carried the Pilgrims offensively last week, scoring a pair of goals in all three of NEC’s wins last week. For the week Dresser totaled 14 points on six goals and two assists, including the game-winner in NEC’s 4-3 win over Worcester State.
New England College’s Holly Soule (Littleton, N.H.) was named TCCC Defensive Player of the Week. Soule anchored the Pilgrim defense this week totaling five defensive saves and holding opponents to just four goals in three games. Soule came up huge for the Pilgrims in their win over Worcester State making two defensive saves in the final 20 minutes as NEC held on for the 4-3 victory.
