New England College women’s lacrosse has earned their fifth straight berth into The Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament. The Pilgrims who finished their season with an overall record of 4-11 and a conference record of 4-6 have earned the #8 seed heading into the tournament.

NEC will face off against the #1 seeded Endicott College Gulls in quarterfinal action on Tuesday afternoon in Beverly, Mass.  The Gulls finished their season with an overall record of 12-5 and have posted a perfect 10-0 record in TCCC play.

The two teams met up during the regular season back on April 22 in Henniker. The Gulls opened up the game with four straight goals but the Pilgrims battled back as Endicott would enter halftime with just a 10-9 lead. The Gulls would go on to outscore the Pilgrims 9-4 in the second half and capture the 19-13 win. Leading the way for NEC was Jodie Dresser who netted four goals and Casey McFarland who finished with three goals.

NEC ended regular season play on Saturday with a 23-15 win over Salve Regina University.   The Gulls are currently riding a four-game winning streak including a 14-13 win on Saturday over the #5 seeded Curry College Colonels.
