Women's Lacrosse falls to defending TCCC Champions

New England College women’s lacrosse fell to the defending TCCC Champion Endicott College 4-11 Thursday evening in TCCC Semifinal action. With the loss the Pilgrims are now 10-8 over and are awaiting a possible bid to the ECAC New England Tournament. The Gulls improved to 14-4 on the season and will make their fourth consecutive trip to the TCCC Championship game.


 

The Pilgrims would jump out to an early 2-0 lead as Emily Tanguay and Emily Kuchta would each net a goal in the opening minutes.

 

The Gulls would respond with a 9-0 run, including six goals in the first half and tacking on three in the second.  NEC’s Amanda Naime would score an unassisted goal cutting the Endicott lead to 9-3 with just over 21 minutes remaining in regulation.

 

Again the Gulls would respond tacking on two goals rebuilding their lead up 11-3.  The Pilgrims would muster just one goal in the final 21 minutes as Kuchta would notch her second goal scoring with 15 seconds remaining on the clock as the Gulls would go on to capture the 11-4 victory.

 

In goal for NEC was Alexandria DiRico who recorded 22 saves on the evening.
