Dave Pilla Award
The Dave Pilla Award was introduced in the spring of 2002. Formally known as the coach's award, this award is presented to the NEC men's basketball player who best exemplifies sportsmanship, leadership both on and off the court, and pride in the NEC men's basketball program.
David Pilla was a four year varsity letterman and captain of the team two of the four seasons. He was the recipient of the NEC coach's award twice during his playing career and also named to the Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities in 1995. In the fall of 2005, Dave Pilla was inducted into the New England College Athletic Hall of Fame. David now resides is New Jersey with his wife Suzanne and two children: Robert and Emily. He is also the Managing Director of The Private Client Execution Services at Oppenheimer& Co. Inc.
