Nicaraguan Women’s Group and Dance Troupe
Women in Action is a women’s group that organizes
health, education, and income generating initiatives in a poor
settlement of Managua. It also supports a number of cultural programs,
including a traditional Nicaraguan folk dance troupe. As part of its
Fall 2010 U.S. tour, the WIA Dance Troupe will be performing at New
England College on Thursday, October 14 in the Simons Center Great Room at 7:00 p.m.
This
event is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and sponsored by the KGA
collegium, NEC Learning Core Curriculum, Aspiring Minds, NEC Writing
Program, and the Office of Student Involvement. For more information,
