Bob Kay

Philosophy of teaching: I try to make the material come alive by arranging for guest speakers and field trips, as well as making use of literature and current events to illustrate the subject matter.

Special areas of expertise or research interests: As President of Lutheran Social Services, I’m involved in services and programs for refugees, children and families, frail elderly, people with disabilities, administration, supervision, non-profit organizational development, public policy and advocacy.

Teaching background: Throughout my career I’ve gained experience as a workshop and seminar leader, but have only recently begun formal classroom teaching at New England College.
