Philosophy of teaching:
I value the small, informal classes with face to face contact at NEC where students can engage in their own learning. I, generally, facilitate learning by presenting readings, assignments, activities, discussions, laboratory exercises or props to which students can question, research and become engaged with to further their own learning.
Special areas of expertise or research interests: She conducts research and field work on the peatlands and rare/endangered flora of New England. When not at NEC, she can be found mucking about in wetlands or climbing the high peaks of New Hampshire.
