Biography:
Jason Buck holds a Masters in College Student Personnel (1993) from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology/Criminology (1990) from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Jason previously held student affairs positions (mostly in Residence Life and Housing) at Clark University, Framingham State College, Bowling Green State University, and Merrimack College. He is a former President of the Boston Area College Housing Association and was a Charter Member of the Associate Student Affairs Think Tank at the New England Research Center for Higher Education in Boston.
As Associate Dean of Students, Jason is primarily responsible for the coordination of Judicial Affairs and International Student Advising at the college. In the area of Judicial Affairs, Jason coordinates the college’s response to reported violations of college policy, including advising the College Judicial and Appeal Boards, supervising Administrative Hearing Officers, and maintaining records and statistics. In the area of International Student Advising, Jason coordinates Orientation for international students, serves as the Primary Designated School Official with regard to immigration issues and advises students on various immigration-related applications. Jason also enjoys being involved in the college larger New Student Orientation and Commencement, and has instructed first-year seminar classes several times.
