Jennifer Kolenski

Jennifer Kolenski graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in English.  During her time at UNH, Jen worked at both the Center for Academic Resources and the Connors Writing Center.  At the Center for Academic Resources, Jen worked as a private and group tutor, working with students who needed additional support in developing study skills, test taking strategies, and time management and organizational skills.  At the Connors Writing, Jen took an interest in working with international students who spoke English as their second language, assisting them in developing their academic writing skills.  For the past three summers, Jen has worked at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH as part of the Royal Thai Scholar Program, where she prepares students for American prep school and university by teaching language and writing skills.  Jen was attracted to working in NEC’s Mentoring Program because of the engaging and individualized support that the program offers its students.  In her spare time, Jen enjoys reading, cooking, learning about other cultures, spending time with family and friends, hiking, and enjoying time outdoors.
