Citing Your Resources
When you write a paper you must cite all references that you used. The two methods most often used are APA (American Psychological Association) style and MLA (Modern Language Association) style. Your professor will tell you which style to use.
What is a citation?
A citation is a referral to source information used when documenting resources used for a paper.
Why do I need to cite my resources?
Citations need to be listed to give credit to the author(s) or source of the information. Plagiarism is the use of another’s scholarship, words, ideas or artistic product without proper citation or acknowledgment. How do I cite information?
The library has pamphlets available for MLA, APA, CBE, and Chicago formats. Ask the reference librarian to show you where they are. The reference librarians are also available to help you with citation questions.

Are there citing resource options available in the databases?
Many, but not all, of the databases have citation guide options that will put the information in citation format such as APA or MLA.
EBSCOhost: To cite an article in EBSCOhost you must display your document and then select Print, Email, or Save.
