PubMed Central (Website) A digital archive of free full-text biomedical and life sciences journal literature from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) There is also the Pubmed site which has abstracts for 18,000 articles (the full-text must be ordered through interlibrary loan) and some full-text.

Women Working (1800-1930) (Website) Focuses on women's role in the United States economy and provides access to digitized historical, manuscript, and image resources selected from Harvard University's library and museum collections. The collection features approximately 500,000 digitized pages and images including: 7,500 pages of manuscripts, 3,500 books and pamphlets, 1,200 photographs.
World Bank Data and Research: (Website) Recognizing that transparency and accountability are essential to development, the World Bank Group now provides free, open, and easy access to its comprehensive set of data on living standards around the globe—some 2,000 indicators, including hundreds that go back 50 years. The data is available in Arabic, French, and Spanish in addition to English.
