Alumni & Professional Development
The New England College MFA Creative Writing in Poetry program provides several opportunities for professional development. During each residency, a faculty member presents a talk on "Life After the MFA" to graduating seniors. Fourth semester students may act as teaching assistants in workshops and will have the option of designing and teaching special classes during the residency. Several annual open house readings for alumni and faculty are held nationally, including participation at the AWP conference.
The program literary journal, Tygerburning, offers students and alumni opportunities for editorial experience and to publish their work.
