New England College women’s cross-country North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Champions

New England College women’s cross-country edged out Husson University by three points lifting the Pilgrims to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship on Sunday at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine.
Leading the way for the Pilgrims was Abby Shafer (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) who finished first overall with a time of 20:40 earning NAC Runner of the Year honors and First Team All-Conference honors. In addition to Shafer, the Pilgrims were paced by sophomore Rachel Orlando (Westerly, R.I.) who finished seventh overall with a time of 21:40 and Lauren O’Grady (Georgetown, Mass.) who finished 10th with a time of 22:05. Also scoring for the Pilgrims was Erica Notini (Hudson, N.H.) who finished 14th overall and Catrina Lougee (Hillsboro, N.H.) who finished 18th.
The men finished sixth at the NAC Championship on Sunday at Thomas College. Leading the way for the men was Logan Hatch (Rochester, N.H.)who finished in 22nd place with a time of 31:26 and Scott Shaw (Norfolk, Conn.) who followed closely with a time of 31:37 good enough for 24th place.
