Michele Bachmann Addresses Town Hall Meeting at New England College

New England College hosted presidential candidate Michele Bachmann
(R-Minnesota) in the ECON-101 series of Town Hall meetings on October 10. The ECON-101 Town Hall meeting, sponsored by
the Center for Civic Engagement at New England College, was free and open to the public.
The
ECON-101 series of Town Hall meetings provides an opportunity for
political leaders to present their economic plan for America.
Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann discussed the national
budget, taxes, and spending. The one-hour program included a
presentation by the candidate and questions from the audience.
Representative Bachmann was in New Hampshire last in June and has drawn
large audiences at her campaign stops.

Michele Bachmann was the
first woman to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from
Minnesota. She served her first term in 2006 and was re-elected in 2008
and 2010. She is a member of the Financial Services Committee and the
Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Bachmann hosted the first
Tea Party Caucus in July of 2010, and founded the House Tea Party
Caucus. She was elected to the Minnesota State Senate in 2000. Prior to
entering politics, she held the position of Federal tax litigation
attorney for five years.
Michele Bachmann is a graduate of Winona
State University and received her J.D. from O.W. Coburn School of Law
at Oral Roberts University and her L.L.M. in Tax Law from the College of
William and Mary.
As a presidential candidate, she stands for Constitutional conservatism, limited government, and a safe and secure America.
New
England College in Henniker, New Hampshire provides an open venue for
political candidates wishing to address Town Hall style gatherings. In
2004, New England College welcomed all nine Democratic candidates in the
presidential race. NEC has served as the lead organizer for College
Convention in 2004, 2008, and 2012. College Convention brings together
college and high school students from across the country to interact
with candidates, media personalities, political analysts, and activists,
for a first-hand experience with the workings of American democracy.
