Orientation

Thank you for joining us at New England College. We are just as excited as you are to be starting the fall semester! Preparing students to succeed is what we are all about at NEC.

Summer Orientation

There are two components to our summer orientation program: Creating Academic Success at New England College and The Pilgrimage. We encourage you to sign up for one or both sessions, but it is not mandatory to attend in the summer.

If you are looking for the June 19-20 session please call the office at 603.428.2223. Thank you.

The next date is:     July 24-July 25

Creating Academic Success at NEC

Registration opens at 8am
The event will start at 9am and will end at 1:30pm

The transition from high school to college can be a difficult one when it comes to academics. We are here to help. This session is for students and families wanting to get a jump on academic success. Throughout this morning program, families and students will have different options on what sessions they want to attend, as well as the opportunity to meet with the Mentoring program if you would like to do so. The goal for this program is to help students and families feel prepared for the academic rigor of college, and to provide information on the resources available to students.

Schedule for Creating Academic Success At NEC

There is no fee associated with the Creating Academic Success session, but you must have put in a deposit with Admissions to attend. If you have not deposited, please call at 603.428.2223.

The Pilgrimage

Registration opens at 2pm on Friday
The event will start at 3pm and will end at 12pm on Saturday

Another transition that occurs is the idea of living on campus. Even commuters will be spending a lot of time on the NEC campus. It is our mission to make you, the student, feel comfortable here. We will help you find your way around campus, introduce you to NEC traditions, introduce you to NEC staff and faculty, and keep you entertained. The Pilgrimage is an overnight program that is designed specifically for first year students. There will be a brief program for parents and guardians to attend during the drop-off time. Students will be spending the night on the NEC campus meeting new people and partaking in various events throughout the evening. Parents who wish to stay in the area can find a list of hotel accommodations here. Need to know what to bring with you for the over night, check out our packing list.

The Pilgrimage Schedule

All students wishing to partake in either program must be a deposited student. If you are not a deposited student, please call the Office of Admission at 603.428.2223.

Registration

There is no fee to attend the Creating Academic Success session.
There is a $50 fee to attend the Pilgrimage Session which covers NEC gear, meals, entertainment, and overnight accommodations.
