Jennie Leonard - Theatre

Jennie Leonard came to New England College because of its history of success in sending graduates to the Actor’s Studio MFA in Acting program in New York. To date, no other college in the country has sent more students to this prestigious program. And a good decision it was! Jennie was recently accepted into the three-year intensive program offered through Pace University and is now the ninth member of the NEC community, and the third student from Laconia, New Hampshire, to attend.

Jennie is the senior class president and president of the Carriage Theatre Ensemble.

Her March audition was a scene from Cuban-American playwright Maria Irene Fornes’ 1985 play, The Conduct of Life. She will study dance, voice, and movement, and looks forward to attending a class taught by actress Ellen Burstyn.
