provide today’s managers with the skills necessary to maximize
efficiency in an increasingly time-sensitive and resource-lean business
environment. The classroom experience is interactive, helping students
to develop their analytical and communication skills. In addition, NEC
students learn how information technology can support them in all facets
of an organization, from operations to sales, marketing, finance,
public relations, and more.
A Flexible, Tailored Delivery Model:
The program is based
in Henniker, at New England College’s main campus, or at sponsoring
professional sites throughout New Hampshire. Programs are run as
cohorts, meaning that a defined group of students (usually not more than
20) takes the same sequence of courses together from initial enrollment
until graduation. Courses run for seven week periods.
Blackboard-The Virtual Classroom:
The Master of Management programs utilize the online learning platform, Blackboard, in addition to classroom time.
Dynamic Faculty:
Successful leaders in business and
industry who are also accomplished classroom instructors, these mentors
bring scholarly perspectives as well as extensive professional
experience. Our faculty include former hospital CEOs and CFOs, Directors
of Chambers of Commerce, Human Resource Vice Presidents, and nationally
recognized management consultants.
Curriculum and Concentrations:
The Master of Science in
Management is a 36 credit program comprised of ten courses and a
thesis/project requirement. The program may range from one year to two
years, depending upon the student's choice of schedule. Four
concentrations are offered: Organizational Leadership, Healthcare
Administration, Nonprofit Leadership and Technology Project Management.
The curriculum, always evolving, explores the challenges and
opportunities of the current business climate and capitalizes on the
climate of opportunity in New Hampshire and Northern New England.
