Saturday, August 31:
Welcome to New England College!
8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Move into your residence hall
Start at the CEI Building (Circle Street)
Residence halls open for new student move-in, and
Orientation Registration open for all new students in the Simon Center.
Pathways Mentoring Program: Parent Session
11:00 a.m., CEI 110
All new Mentoring Program students and their families should attend this important session.
11:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Gilmore Dining Hall
Students will need their NEC ID card for lunch; families will receive meal tickets at Orientation Registration.
New Students Line-Up on the Covered Bridge
12:45 p.m., Covered Bridge (behind West Hall)
All new students should gather in preparation for the
Convocation procession. Be here on time to sign the class banner!
1:00 p.m., Field House
New England College students, faculty, staff, and Board of Trustee members gather at Convocation to mark the start of the new academic year.

Early Morning Activities
-Coffee and doughnuts in the Charter Hall Coffeehouse
-Morning run/jog/hike—departing from the Simon Center front porch
-Shuttles to local places of worship* (leaving from the front of the Simon Center)
-Henniker Congregational Church (shuttle leaves at 9:45 a.m.)
-St. Theresa Parish (Catholic) (Shuttle leaves at 9:45 a.m.)
-Hillsboro United Methodist Church (shuttle leaves
at 10:00 a.m.)

Math Placement Test
8:30 a.m., Center for Educational Innovation (CEI) Lobby
Students who have not previously taken the Math Placement Test should take the test at this time. This test is essential to make sure you’re placed in the correct math class. Continental breakfast will be provided for students needing to take the exam.

Your Very First College Class

Your first college class will be the Bridges to Learning Seminar course. During this time you will, find out where your classes will be held, find your faculty advisor’s office, participate on the low ropes course, and more.
Welcome Back BBQ
5:30 p.m., Simon Lawn (Rain Location: Gilmore)
Join us for a BBQ on the Simon Lawn. Please bring your NEC ID to use a meal swipe if you have a meal plan!
Wiffle Ball Tournament
