Student Involvement

Welcome to the Office of Student Involvement!

The Office of Student Involvement (OSI) provides many services to the student body.  If you think “there’s nothing to do” while at college, we have the resources and information you’re looking for!

We are here to help you learn about the campus, faculty, staff, and more before you set a foot inside the classroom.  Every incoming freshman and transfer student is encouraged to attend one of three offered Summer Orientations.  You will have an opportunity to meet with current students, athletes, and staff but more importantly you will meet many of your fellow classmates, and potentially your first college roommate!  *Click Here for more information

We help you from day one find the people and organizations that will shape your time at NEC, starting with the ConNECtions Fair every semester.  Every club, organization, fraternity and sorority is represented at the event as they are looking for students like you to make their group even better.  Look for advertisements once on campus for more information.

Once a part of NEC, every student is eligible to attend the NEC Leadership Conference.  During the conference fellow students, faculty, staff, and motivational speakers lead sessions directed towards improving personal leadership capabilities as well as improving relations and accomplishments of the NEC Community.

NEC Prides itself on its community.  Because of the pride Students have in their organizations, school, and facilities, every club, organization, athletic team, and many unaffiliated students volunteer their time once a year to give back to the school and Henniker Community.  On “Pilgrim Pride Day” students complete service projects like campus clean-ups, repainting of the fire hydrants in the town, repainting of fences, and the planting of new trees, flowers, and other landscaping.

The OSI also facilitates a semi-annual event to recognize all of the hard work that students have put into their education and community.  Faculty and Staff members work together during a late evening to cook a free “Pancake Breakfast” for students during the final week of both the fall and spring semesters.  In the past, OSI has also offered stress relieving activities and free five minute massages for students.

Atop the various events OSI supports every year, the department oversees the Charter Coffeehouse.  The Coffeehouse is open from 4 pm- 2 am every day (excluding breaks) and is a space that students study, hang out, play ping pong, pool, or video games, or attend the numerous events held over the year.  *Click Here for more information*

 Greek Life

Greek life is also part of the OSI Department.  Currently there are four Greek organizations on campus: Alpha Phi Omega (co-ed service based fraternity), Kappa Delta Phi NAS (social sorority), Phi Mu Delta (social fraternity), and Theta Phi Alpha (social sorority).  *Please click here for more information.*
