The “aha” moment—every learner wants to have it, and every instructor wants to facilitate it.

When done well, the instructional process focuses on learners to deliver the right information at the right time in the right way. Good instructional design (ID) makes the learning process more meaningful so that “aha” moments occur more frequently.

This program uses a “learn today, apply tomorrow” approach so that you can immediately apply ID principles in the real world.

Whether you’re a teacher in a traditional classroom setting or an HR and or other professional in a corporate environment, learn to unlock the different ways people learn so that you can be a more effective instructor.

Why NEC’s Instructional Design Certificate?

You’ll enjoy a unique online learning platform that fosters collaboration with faculty and other ID professionals. At your fingertips, you’ll have access to course content such as syllabi and training materials as well as student-faculty communications such as phone calls, video calls, and chat sessions. All stored information is searchable and stays with you even after you complete your certificate, so you can always access course content or communications. This platform also puts faculty back at the center of learning by enabling face-to-face interaction with students, bringing traditional classroom engagement to the online classroom.

Earn a certificate of completion, or a certificate of completion with distinction for those who are exemplary students, from the New Hampshire Institute of Art (accredited by NECHE, NASAD) in partnership with New England College. If you want to advance to a graduate degree, you can earn this certificate as six graduate-level credits through New England College.
