President’s Speaker Series Hosts Communications and Sales Expert Alumnus: Kevin Kelly
New England College is pleased to announce that its President’s Speaker Series will be hosting alumnus and sales and communications expert Kevin Kelly ’78. Mr. Kelly will speak with students and the NEC community Thursday, November 3, at 6:00 p.m., in the Simon Center Great Room. The event is free and open to the public.
Mr. Kelly has crafted an extraordinary sales and communications career, building successful sales teams and providing expert communications guidance to numerous international businesses in a variety of industries.
He is a consultant at Templar Advisors, an internationally-based communications firm headquartered in London, and with offices in New York City, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Templar specializes in spoken communication: how to effectively get your message across. The company consults with all levels of management and sales to improve client interaction and make sales calls more impactful and productive. Templar also provides senior executive coaching and communications advisory work for important projects such as board presentations, conference preparation, and initial public offerings (IPO’s).

Mr. Kelly joined Templar following a successful 25+ year career on Wall Street, where he held senior sales and communications roles at UBS, Bear Stearns, and Morgan Stanley. He is a 1978 graduate of New England College, where he earned his BA in History and Political Science. Mr. Kelly went on to earn an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, where he was a Graduate Teaching Assistant in International Finance and Editor of Columbia Journal of World Business.
Mr. Kelly served on New England College’s Board of Trustees for six years and remains involved, sitting on NEC’s President’s Advisory Board and advising the College’s Strategic Sales Management program. His involvement in communications and sales extends to the academic environment. He teaches at the London Business School as part of a program run by Templar. He also helped create the Chandler Center for the Study of Sales at Elon University and serves on their Advisory Board.
