Then & Now: A Reflection on the Works of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Contemporary Movements for Peace
CAMP
NEC and the NEC International Students Association will be hosting a
forum focusing on the works of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the state of
Civil Rights today. The first 30 minutes will feature selected
readings/works of MLK and complementing activists, both historical and
contemporary. The readings will be followed by a the Travis Smiley
Show’s “A Call to Conscience,” a documentary that highlights the
sometimes forgotten agenda of Dr. King found in his opposition to the
War in Vietnam. Contact dheying@nec.edu for details.
