Athletics Fund

The NEC Athletic department develops exemplary student-athletes who strive for outstanding academic achievement, athletic excellence, team success, and community involvement. We are committed to providing competitive athletic programs that allow student-athletes to reach their fullest potential through exceptional coaching, teaching, and mentoring. All NEC athletics programs foster character and leadership development; are guided by the values of pride, integrity, and respect; and promote high academic achievement, diversity, gender equity, unparalleled sportsmanship, and fair play.

Annual Fund

Your gift to the Annual Fund, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in providing opportunities that empower students to create big ideas and build real-world experience. Your gift provides support for scholarships, athletics, student programming, faculty development, and much more.

Loyalty Society

The Loyalty Society honors NEC’s most loyal alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends. These generous individuals understand that consistent giving, no matter the size, transforms lives.

Founders Society

The Founders Society celebrates the generous donors who contribute $1,000 or more in gifts each year. The financial commitment of these donors allows NEC to realize its mission of experiential learning and transformational education that is driven by academic excellence.

GOLD (Graduates Of the Last Decade) Alumni Founders gifts are:

• 2018-2021 $100 (about $8.50/month)
• 2015-2017 $250 (about $21/month)
• 2012-2014 $500 (about $42/month)
• Up to 2011 $1000 (about $84/month)

Parent Fund

Parents like you help NEC realize its mission. Giving to the Parent Fund enables you to make a lasting impact on the school that you and your student love.

Gifts to the Parent Fund are spent in the year they are received as part of NEC’s annual fundraising. The purpose of these contributions is to support the college above and beyond tuition dollars. Your gift to the Parent Fund supports Study Away trips, career and academic success services, on-campus events, and the other vital NEC programs that help our students achieve their goals.

The support of parents truly makes a difference—every gift, every year.

Get Involved

The Parent Leadership Council (PLC), parents of former and current NEC students, engages and participates in various programs and initiatives on and off campus. PLC is committed to continuously improving the student and parent experience at NEC through active outreach, mentorship, and volunteerism. PLC members provide a tremendous service to students and parents with a direct impact on NEC as a whole.

Planned Giving

The H. Raymond Danforth Society was established in 1999 to acknowledge and recognize those individuals who have provided for NEC through planned giving. H. Raymond Danforth was the fourth president of NEC (1958–1969). He was steadfast in his determination to gather together the students, faculty, friends, and financial resources that would sustain his vision for NEC as an “international, innovative, student-oriented institution,” competitive with the finest private colleges in the Northeast. That was no small dream, but it is one shared by many alumni/ae and friends of NEC who have ensured our future through a bequest or other planned gift. The College expresses its sincere gratitude for the foresight and generosity of alumni and friends who have joined The H. Raymond Danforth Society by informing the College of their arrangements to include NEC in their estate plans.

Common methods of planned giving include:

• Charitable remainder trust
• Charitable lead trust
• Retirement account beneficiary
• Life insurance beneficiary

John Lyons Center

The John Lyons Center opened in September 2016 and provides a 21st-century 19,000-square-foot academic center serving the classroom needs of the entire campus. The Lyons Center includes state-of-the-art classrooms, seminar rooms, study lounges, learning commons, group study areas, faculty offices, and a café.

Rosamond Page Putnam Center for the
Performing Arts

The Putnam Center opened in January 2020 and serves as the new home of the Mainstage Theatre. The Putnam Center offers an ideal venue for the ambitious schedule of dramatic performances held throughout the calendar year. This world-class, expertly designed facility includes more than 18,000 square feet—including a 350-seat theater, lobby, box office, control room, dressing rooms, and a mezzanine encompassing three floors.
