As the Interim Director of Public Information, Dr. Thomas Horgan, ’14 EdD, is responsible for developing and leading the public information efforts for New England College.
Prior to NEC, Tom served as President and CEO of the New Hampshire College and University Council (NHCUC), a statewide consortium of public and private higher education institutions, which includes New England College. He directed the NHCUC for twenty-four years.
He is a widely sought-after speaker and commentator on higher education issues and has written extensively on the opportunities and challenges confronting postsecondary education. Tom has considerable experience in managing communications and public relations in the higher education sector.
His professional background includes serving as President of the national Association for Collaborative Leaders, as a commissioner to the Education Commission of the States and as a Board Member at the New England Board for Higher Education. He was instrumental in the founding of Campus Compact for New Hampshire, a statewide consortium dedicated to advancing civic engagement and community service on campuses.
