New England College (NEC) has announced a comprehensive initiative to support students affected by the closure of Anna Maria College, ensuring they can continue their education without interruption.

This initiative provides a seamless transition for undergraduate and graduate students and student-athletes, reinforcing NEC’s commitment to access, continuity and student success during times of institutional disruption.

“We understand that students are facing uncertainty, and our priority is to provide a clear and supportive path forward,” said Dr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr., President of New England College. “Our message is simple: You can continue your education, stay on track and achieve your goals here.”

NEC is offering the following support:

  • Guaranteed admission for students in good standing
  • Acceptance of up to 90 undergraduate credits
  • Individual evaluation of graduate credits
  • Financial aid review with a commitment to match or reduce current net cost when possible
  • On-campus housing options, including the ability to keep existing roommates
  • Opportunities to continue competing in NCAA Division III athletics
  • Access to both undergraduate and graduate programs

With more than 60 academic programs, NEC has aligned key offerings with those at Anna Maria College, including strong pathways in criminal justice, nursing, business and health sciences.

NEC’s approach reflects a broad commitment to ensuring students can continue their academic journeys without losing time, credits or momentum. Students interested in transferring to NEC can visit nec.edu/AMC, call 603.428.2223, or email admission@nec.edu.
