NEC Student Kenray Emadamerho Wins Al Sprague Memorial Scholarship

New England College is proud to announce that Communication Studies major Kenray Emadamerho ʼ26 has been named the 2025 recipient of the Al Sprague Memorial Scholarship, awarded by the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters (NHAB).
Kenray, a rising senior, has demonstrated a deep commitment to community and broadcast journalism throughout his time at NEC. His hands-on experience in both the College’s radio and television studios has helped shape his academic and professional journey, and this $5,000 scholarship will support his continued studies during the 2025–2026 academic year.
“Your passion for community and broadcast journalism has earned you this wonderful award,” stated Tracy Caruso, NHAB Executive Director. “We are impressed by how you are truly making the most of your college experience.”
Kenray will be formally recognized during an awards presentation at the WMUR studios in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Wednesday, July 16, at 1:00 p.m.
Established in 1954, NHAB is a non-profit trade organization for over-the-air radio and television stations. The Association encourages students who are interested in radio or television to further their education and promotes broadcasting as a viable career choice. The Al Sprague Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the former President of NHAB who died in 2008. The scholarship is awarded annually to the student who shows the most promise in industry advocacy, leadership. and entrepreneurship.
