Stay Work Play will showcase the opportunities available to younger residents in the Granite State.

Stay Work Play New Hampshire, a nonprofit organization focused on attracting and retaining young Granite Staters, has stepped up as a community partner for College Convention 2024, January 7–9, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Manchester, N.H. This event hosted by New England College gives the next generation of voters the opportunity to get up close and personal with New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary process.

During the Convention, the staff of Stay Work Play will host a session that showcases New Hampshire as a place with big opportunities for younger demographics to get involved and make a difference in all areas of life, including politics.

“Stay Work Play is excited to be a College Convention community partner,” said Stay Work Play Executive Director Will Stewart. “More than previous generations, young people today report wanting to make a difference as a high priority, and we look forward to showing young people from across the country just how easily they can do that here in New Hampshire.”

Every four years, College Convention brings together civic-minded high school and college students from around New Hampshire and across the country for three days of candidate interaction, educational sessions, and social events that highlight the election cycle and the art of political campaigning.

“I came to New Hampshire in 1999 because of my love of presidential politics, and I quickly found the Granite State to be a place where I could get involved as much as I wanted,” stated Dr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr., President of New England College. “Stay Work Play does invaluable work in promoting New Hampshire as a location where young people can get involved in their local communities, even during college, and hopefully put down roots and build their lives.”

College Convention 2024 meets January 7–9 at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Manchester, N.H. Registration costs just $50 for the full convention or $25 for one day. Students in attendance are eligible to receive college course credit from New England College, and needs-based and group discounts are available by request.
