Discounted Personal PC Purchases Through GovConnection
We encourage you to take advantage of the ThinkPad University program partnership between NEC and GovConnection. Contact GovConnection for pricing and details about the benefits of using this program through their web site: http://www.govconnection.com/nec or by calling (800)800-0019. You’ll need to register on the website using your 6-digit NEC ID or NEC email account.
NEC recommends purchasing additional warranty (included with this program) and premium protection with any computer you purchase to ensure you’re covered for accidental damage.
As with any PC you bring to campus, the vendor is the primary support for faulty hardware or software you buy from them. If you are unsure how to proceed with any particular computer problem contact us and we will refer you to the vendor if that is the appropriate solution.

Discounted Microsoft Office and other software through e-Academy
NEC licenses Microsoft Office Professional and other Microsoft products for students. The cost for Microsoft Office through e-academy is significantly discounted.
Login to the e-academy storefront at http://nec.e-academy.com to see the available software titles. You’ll need to register on the website using your 6-digit NEC ID or NEC email account.
Faculty and staff may also take advantage of this program for home use providing your usage meets the licensing requirements – see site for more details.

Free Antivirus software
NEC licenses Vipre antivirus software for undergraduate students. If you qualify it will be provided to you at no cost. You should have received an email from NEC Information Technology with your license key. If not, contact the NEC Helpdesk (Note: we will only send a license key to your NEC email address).
