Professor Wally Pineault Receives Theatre Awards

Professor Wallace Pineault’s fall production of “Charles Dickens’ Ghost Stories” for the Community Players of Concord received a record 11 nominations. The production was nominated for Best Original Play, Best Production, Best Director, Best Scene Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, and five acting awards. Two of the nominations for acting awards were received by graduates from the New England College Theatre Department.

At last Saturday’s New Hampshire Theatre Awards, Professor Pineault’s production received five awards:
    Best Play – Community Non-musical – Wallace Pineault
    Best Director – Community Non-musical – Wallace Pineault
    Best Scenic Design
    Best Lighting Design – Overall Community Theatre – Wallace Pineault
    Best Actress – Community Non-musical

Both professional and community theatres were considered for the New Hampshire Theatre Awards with over 70 productions entered in the community theatre category.
