From their very first year, New England
College students can be found in the classroom inspiring children to
read, developing an after school program, directing a student
performance, or leading other students to improve their own schools.
By gaining knowledge and becoming an active member of the community,
our students experience a genuine sense of achievement and know that
their contributions are authentic and valued.
The special education program at New England College teaches students to understand human development and its educational relevance. The curriculum is designed to give students a broad understanding of the laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that relate to teaching students with disabilities. Students will be taught a variety of formal and informal assessments designed to identify student strengths and weaknesses and to deliver specialized instruction in a range of specialized formats.
