EMPLOYER CONTACTS

Career Services at NEC has over 500 employers in their current database.  Many if not most of these have sent in full-time, part-time, summer and internship job notices in the past. 

Career Services staff make it a point to visit regularly with employers at their places of work, in order to establish more personal relationships with potential recruiters. 

A mailing goes out to these employers twice a year, offering to assist them with their hiring needs, and reminding them that NEC students are ready to work. 

Each job or internship opportunity mailed in to Career Services from an employer, is sent out by email to the appropriate group of students, recent graduates and faculty.  Recent graduates are especially grateful for these opportunities, and keep in touch with Career Services by offering to help current students with information an other job leads.

Career Services maintains subscriptions to several job opportunity publications.

In addition to the NHCUC Job Fair and the NEC World of Work Fair, employers visit NEC on a regular basis for informal discussions with students and for more formal panel presentations.  In the past year, the FBI, the Concord Monitor, Account Temps, Liberty Mutual, NH Department of Corrections, and the Manchester Monarchs Hockey Club have all sent representatives to campus.

Students or faculty wishing to see a particular employer on campus should contact Career Services, who will do their best to secure a visit from that particular employer.
