THE RESUME

A resume is a short, enthusiastically written summary of your skills and experience as a working person.  It is primarily used to convince a prospective employer to grant you an interview.  It is therefore either mailed or emailed with a "cover letter", unless dropped off in person, or simply pasted into an online search engine.  A resume can also be used when presenting yourself in other, less formal job search situations.

It is recommended, however, that you review your resume with an advisor at Pathways Career Services in order to prepare the most professional document. Many more samples of resumes in your chosen field are available at Career Services as well.
