Lee Clement ’49 Outstanding Alumni Volunteer Award
Leon Clement ’49 was in the first graduating class of NEC and stayed on for 34 years! Although he wore many hats, the position of Athletic Director was his favorite. The name Lee Clement has become synonymous with NEC athletics. He was an outstanding athlete and was instrumental in getting NEC’s athletic program established--including the formation of an ice hockey team. The Lee Clement ’49 Outstanding Alumni Volunteer Award may be presented annually to recognize an alum who has displayed outstanding volunteer service, leadership and commitment to goals. Nominators are asked to submit specific examples of commitment, service and volunteer activities that enhance the reputation of New England College.
