Dresser named TCCC Player of the Year

Four New England College field hockey student-athletes have received Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) honors for their performances throughout the 2008 regular season.


 

New England College field hockey player Jodie Dresser (Keene, N.H.) was named TCCC Player of the Yean and was named 1st Team All-Conference.  Dresser currently leads the team and the conference in almost every offensive category, including total points, goals and assists.  With the Pilgrims still alive in post season play Dresser has 46 points, including 19 goals and eight assists.  Dressrer has also been named TCCC Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.

 

Defender Holly Soule (Littleton, N.H.) joins Dresser on the 1st Team All-TCCC. Soule has been an integral part to the Pilgrim defense this season. Soule is currently ranked second on the TCCC in defensive saves with 14 on the season.  In addition to her defense Soule has scored a goal and picked up two assists. 

 

Sophomore forward Marissa Ayotte (Feeding Hills, Mass.) was named to the 2nd Team All-TCCC.  Ayotte is currently fourth in the TCCC in total points with 28 and in goals with 12.  Ayotte leads the Pilgrims with five game-winning goals and has four assists to go along with her 12 goals.

 

Rounding out the TCCC honors this season is junior midfielder Ashley Simula (Bridgewater, N.H.) Simula started 17 games for the Pilgrims and has recorded two goals and two assists so far this season.
